For printmaking

Process

How do you produce your artwork?

All lino prints are hand carved, hand pressed and left to dry in my Sunshine Coast studio. Each print can take from a few days to a week to dry depending on the humidity. If there is metal leafing detail to do, this can take an additional week to complete. You can read more about the process here.

Due to limited studio space, I may only partially print an edition of prints (for example if the edition is limited to 50 prints only, I may only do a batch of 20 to start with to see how much interest there is in the design. In the case of them selling out quicker than anticipated, there will be a period of time between restocking where I will need to hand print more). This is certainly the case for larger designs where storage is an issue.

Do you do custom artworks?

Sometimes. Please be in touch to see what is possible.

Please note that all custom orders require a partial or full payment upfront to secure the project.

This is an honouring of my time and your commitment to the project. Projects won’t commence until this is received.

Can you modify your existing artworks?

Sometimes. Please be in touch to see what is possible.

I generally find it really fun to co-create something with my customers! :)

What is the difference between ‘Limited edition’ and ‘Open edition’?

'Limited edition' artworks are exactly that - limited, where I will cap the number of prints I will do with particular lino cut blocks. Once they sell out, they are gone forever. If you had your heart set on a particular design, I can always work with you to produce a custom design similar to the original.

‘Open edition’ artworks are ones that have no limit to the amount of times they are printed. For this reason they are sometimes slightly lower in cost than my limited edition prints and will be produced until I decide to retire the lino cut block.

Your orders

How long will my artwork take?

If my prints are in stock they will be shipped within 1 - 3 business days via Australia Post.

If I am doing multiple batches of prints, and they have sold out quicker than anticipated, there will be a delay of 1 - 2 weeks + shipping time.

If you have reached out for a custom design, this will be negotiated on a case by case basis depending on the size and level of detail requested.

How do I know the prints are authentic and original?

All of my prints come numbered and signed, larger prints (where noted) come with a certificate of authenticity.

You can read about each artwork I produce in the ‘Journal’ section of the website to see how the artwork was dreamed up and created.

I need a rush on an artwork or order, is this possible?

Whilst I can’t absolutely guarantee something will be created and will arrive in time, I am happy to work with you to see what is possible.

Please be in touch.

Will my artwork fit into a ready-made frame? Can I frame it myself?

Some artworks may fit into a ready-made frame depending on the look and style you are going for in your space.

Most of my prints will look best when framed by a professional framer - this way they can work with you on a vibe that you want and choose materials that will complement the artwork and your space!

But if you are on a budget, a great way of doing your own custom framing is to buy a ready made generic frame (a little bigger than the artwork) from your preferred supplier, and order a custom-made mat board in the colour of your choice that will fit your generic frame size, but can be cut to frame the artwork within the frame. You will just need to supply the dimensions of the area you want cut out to frame the artwork. For example you may have an A2 frame that you want to put an A3 artwork in but want a different sized border and colour framing the artwork to what is included with the frame. Measure the border you want to go around the artwork and supply these dimensions to your supplier who will cut the mat board for you.

Do you do gift vouchers?

Yes. Gift vouchers once purchased are emailed to you with all the details you need to redeem them. To purchase a voucher head to the store.

The artwork I want is saying ‘Sold Out’ – what does this mean?

It can mean one of two things:

  1. That the print is still available but I need to print some more. I will note this in the comments if this is the case. Hang tight while they are prepared in my studio.

I will usually supply an estimated date for restock, please check back in around then, or you can go on a wait list to be notified first.

  2. That the print design is no longer available and all prints part of that edition have been sold. If this is the case, I will note this in the comments.

If the print was a limited edition and is no longer available, and you are absolutely in love with the design, please be in touch, I may be able to create something similar to the original design for you.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

Within Australia and internationally. My chosen postal service provider is Australia Post. Please note that Australia Post at times does not deliver to particular parts of the world, due to global disruptions. You can check on this by visiting www.auspost.com.au

For my larger artworks, I may use a specific courier service depending on where the artwork is being sent. I will supply the details and tracking number for your parcel once your artwork is on its way.

If you have placed an order, and I cannot post to your location at the time of order, you will be issued a full refund.

How much does shipping cost?

All shipping within Australia and internationally incurs a rate as noted at point of checkout.

Please note that international delivery costs do not include any taxes or duties which may be applied by customs at the destination country. Any taxes or duties incurred are your responsibility so please keep this in mind. For more information on taxes, duties and customs regulations, I recommend contacting your local customs office directly.

How long will my package take to reach me?

While Australia Post offers an estimated time for delivery (you can calculate this here), I cannot guarantee that delivery disruptions won’t occur and delay your package. Unfortunately this is out of my hands. All packages come with tracking so you can track your order and its delivery.

Returns, exchanges and damaged items

Unfortunately I do not offer exchanges, returns or refunds for change of mind.

If you have made a genuine error on your order though, and it has not yet been shipped, please be in touch and I will do my best to work something out with you.

If your parcel is damaged in transit, please send an email through the contact form within 24 hours of receiving your parcel and I will invite you to send photos of the below. Any time after this will not be considered.

  • The external parcel

  • The shipping label on the parcel

  • The damage to the artwork and internal packaging

  • The more photos the better

Once received, I will work with you to deal with the situation.
